God is Faithful – are You?

First, allow me to apologize for not being here on a regular basis. Our women’s ministry at church had a retreat and I was knee deep in the planning and execution of the retreat so a lot of things went by the wayside. Good news – a lot of the women were refreshed, renewed, delivered, and transformed by the retreat so God answered the prayers many of us were praying in regards to our little weekend. All I could do was thank Him for being so incredibly faithful.

Side note: When you honor God, He will honor you. Thank you Lord for keeping every promise you’ve ever made!

With that said, lets talk about something Jesus said during a parable He was giving in Matthew.

His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou has been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of the lord.  Matthew 25:21

Jesus is trying to teach us to prepare for the second coming of Christ, however there are a few lessons we can glean from this parable. The phrase “few things” comes from the Greek word oligos which means little or a few in number. In other words, Jesus is saying because this servant has been faithful over a small number of things, he will be the ruler over many things.

Bottom line – If we do a few things for God, they are eternal and he will MULTIPLY them in heaven!

Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.  James 2:17-18

Sister – its time to get to work for the Lord! Get yourself in prayer, fasting, and study. Find an older sister to mentor you and give you advise. I have one…she’s great! I wouldn’t be where I am without the Lord and her guidance. Then, start doing some tangible work for the Lord. Ask God to reveal to you where he wants you in His Kingdom. If you don’t know where you belong, start somewhere. Clean the church, volunteer in the nursery, teach a Sunday school class, or get out in your community and volunteer for a Christian organization. It doesn’t have to be something big and extravagant. It can be something small but GREAT in the Kingdom.

Don’t miss out on the blessing of being a blessing to others.

The world is waiting on a Christian just like YOU.

Love y’all!
